It is generally considered that Ad Hoc topology is more suitable for emergency scenarios and temporary fast networking, while the Infrastructure topology is more suitable for conventional wireless applications in homes and enterprises. I. Infrastructure topology features

The basic structure mode of Infrastructure is similar to the traditional wired and star topology solution. In this mode, an AP or wireless router that complies with the IEEE802.11b/g mode exists. All communications are connected through an AP or a wireless router, just like using a hub for connection in a wired network, the wireless network in this mode can be connected to the wired network through the Ethernet port of the AP or wireless router.

The Infrastructure topology can be both wireless and wired.

The basic mode is the scale-up of the wireless network or the communication mode when the wireless and wired networks coexist. This is the most common mode for 802.11b/g. In this case, the computer with the wireless network adapter needs to be connected to another computer by the AP or wireless router. After the client receives the request, authorization is established by sending authorization frames. After the authorization is successful, the client sends the associated frames and the AP responds to the Association, so that data can be transmitted between them.

When a wireless network node expands, the network access speed slows down as the range expands and nodes increase. In this case, an AP or wireless router can effectively control and manage the bandwidth and frequency band. A good Wireless AP or wireless router can achieve almost negligible latency and use of more than 30 concurrent users, however, it is generally recommended that the number of commonly used fixed computers managed by a single Wireless AP or wireless router should not exceed 20-50.

The basic structure of the Infrastructure mode does not deteriorate the network throughput performance and network latency when the LAN network traffic volume increases, because each site can communicate with other sites only within the coverage of the central site, the layout of the network center is limited by the environment. In addition, the Central Station provides a logical access point for access to the wired backbone network. When a wireless network needs to be connected to a wired network or a wireless network node needs to connect and access resources and servers of a wired network, the AP or wireless router can act as a bridge between the wireless network and the wired network. However, the weakness of the Infrastructure with a central network topology structure is poor anti-destruction performance. The failure of the central site can easily paralyze the entire network, in addition, the addition of AP or wireless routers and other central site devices increases the network cost compared with the Ad Hoc topology.

① Connect to a wireless router

In addition to power-on and power-on, wireless routers can be connected to different bandwidths Based on bandwidth. For residential broadband, FTTX + LAN is generally used) + network cable to the household, you only need to directly connect the wire pair to the WAN port of the wireless router.

If you use the adsl modem or Cable MODEM of the Ethernet interface RJ45 interface to connect to the Internet, you only need to connect the MODEM to the WAN port of the wireless router by using the LAN line randomly attached to the MODEM.

After the connection is completed, the corresponding indicator lights up on the wireless router.

② Set the network adapter and wireless router as the same network segment

All wireless routers have DHCP server functions and can automatically assign IP addresses to wireless or wired NICs. Therefore, after you connect to and enable the wireless router, you only need to set the NIC to automatically obtain the IP address, and then restart the computer to put the IP address of the nic and the IP address of the wireless router in the same network segment, both of them can facilitate mutual protection.

③ Set the Wireless Router

In the management interface, find "WAN port settings or WAN port connection type" and other similar options. For FTTTX + LAN community access or CM access, you can select the dynamic IP address mode. After setting it, click "save.
