Ubuntu 12.04 Eclipse Add Desktop shortcut

1. Create Desktop Launcher (edit/usr/share/applications/eclipse.desktop)

Where exec is the program location, icon is the program icons, the specific need to modify according to their actual situation.

2. Add Execute permission to desktop launcher

1 chmod a+x/usr/share/applications/eclipse.desktop

3. Install the starter (enter directory/usr/share/applications)

1 desktop-file-install--add-category Development eclipse.desktop

4. After installation, you can find eclipse in application.
