Ubuntu 14 to install emacs and Ubuntu 14emacs

1. emacs version

Emacs23 is an original emacs released by gnu.

Emacs-lucid has been adjusted by ubuntu

Emacs-nox is an emacs version without x system. We do not recommend installation unless it is used only on the terminal. Other versions with the-nw parameter can achieve similar results.

E3 is a very micro-editor with a lot of key bindings. It can be like several popular editors including emacs and vi.

2. Install emacs 24.5

1. Delete previous emacs versions

Apt-get remove emacs

2. Install the core dependency package

Sudo apt-get install build-essential tialsudo apt-get build-dep emacs24
