Select the second menu item under options to set it:

The first setting page does not need to be changed. The second item is worth noting: language, English and Russian. Generally, select English.

The language file is in the program directory. *. Ts and *. QM must be moved together with the program.

Note on the second page,

Ap ip address, AP mask: IP address does not need to be changed,

WiFi device for AP: select the wireless network card that enables the hotspot, which is generally wlan0

SSID: the name of the wireless network. Set it by yourself.

Driver for device: the model of the NIC drive. You must select nl80211.

Protection: Password format. You can select none (no password), WEP, wpa3

Password (8-16 characters): The password must be 8-16 characters long.

IP Range for clients: the IP address range assigned to the customer. Note that the IP address must be in the same segment as the ap ip address (set on the second page ).

The interface to access the Internet: The interface through which to access the Internet. if the computer is connected to the route directly, select eth0, and select ppp0 for accessing the Internet through DSL (My is eth0 ). it is best to clarify before setting.

 

* After each page is set, [Save] It is saved.

Go back to the main program and click [activate] to enable wifi. If no problem occurs, it is shown as follows, indicating that WiFi is successfully enabled.

It is okay to turn this program off after it is enabled successfully. After all, this is just a shell. (It turns out it can be turned off)

Problem and troubleshooting:

Cannot be activated, or an error occurs, or activation is completed but there is no green active words.

1: The/etc/init. d/hostapd file is not edited. Follow the previous method to modify the file.

2: the second page of the setting options is not correctly set, the driver selection is incorrect, or the NIC is not correctly selected, or an error occurs elsewhere.

3: The password is incorrectly set. Try to cancel the password

4: the attempt to switch back and forth between disactive and active may be successful.

Activated successfully, but the mobile device cannot access the Internet:

1: The ap id is not in the same procedure segment as the IP address assigned by the customer.
