Emerald is a window Border Manager that works well with Compiz. It can make the window border more beautiful and transparent. The following is the result. Users can use different Theme to obtain different effects.
# Installation and setting:
1. Install emerald
Sudo apt-get install emerald
2. Modify the Compiz Settings so that emerald can take over the Window border. In the CompizConfig Settings Manager, change the Command in Window decorations to emerald--replace (default value:/usr/bin/compiz-decorator) emerald can be automatically enabled and then restarted.
3. Download your favorite emerald border topic from Compiz-Theme, and enable the Emerald theme manager to import and download the topic.
4. If you need better results, you can install GlobalMenu
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: nilarimogard/webupd8
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install gnome-globalmenu
After installation, restart and add the Global Menu Panel Applet on the top Panel.
