Ubuntu Change folder and subfolder permissions

Open the terminal and go to the directory you want to modify and execute the command:

chmod 777 *-R

frequently modified commands: sudo chmod 600xxx (only the owner has read and write permission) sudo chmod 644xxx (owner has read and write permission, group user only read permission) sudo chmod 700xxx ( Only the owner has read and write and execute permissions) sudo chmod 666xxx (everyone has read and write permission) sudo chmod 777xxx (everyone has read and write and Execute permissions)
