These days the laboratory wireless network kneeling, has been tangled with the computer to open the wireless problem, tried several ways can not solve the problem, but eventually found a final method, to share.

At first I set it up with the network manager that comes with Ubuntu, and other laptops or Windows tablets can discover this wireless network. But my Android phone does not, it seems that Android system does not support Ad-hoc.

Anyway, let's share this approach, at least for the convenience of sharing wireless networks with other computers.

The first step of using the system's own network manager (Android not available):

The network button in the top right corner of the stand-alone screen is selected in the menu, click the Edit link at the bottom, then click Add on the right to add a wireless network

Step Two:

Feel free to fill in the link name on Wi-Fi.

Fill in an SSID, this is the wireless ID name that will be sent by the computer.

Select Ad-hoc in the mode bar;

Step Three:

Switch to the WiFi Security tab. Choose WPA and WPA2 individuals in security. Fill in the password in the password.

Switch to the IPV4 setting and select Share with other computers in the method

Switch to the IPV6 setting and select I ignore in the method.

Fourth Step:

Finally, click Save to save the network. Connect to the network you just established and open the connection to the hidden network. Select the previously established network and connect.

Then I found the second method, which is also problematic, and this approach seems to be effective for the lower version, Anyway, my 14.04 is not going to work. The lower version of the children's shoes can be engaged, I installed after the start of wireless will be stuck, internet check, seemingly need to uninstall this version, and then go online to find a bug out of the support 14.04 version, but do not know is because of age or years of disrepair, I looked for a while did not find the revised version.

Two use Ap-hotspot to create a WiFi hotspot (low version active)

Here's how: use Ap-hotspot to create a WiFi hotspot instead of ad hoc. Terminal input:

After finally found a kind of ultimate method, ubuntu14.04 Pro test available, and once well-equipped, easy to use later!

The three Ultimate method (14.04 Pro test Effective) First step:

The network button in the top right corner of the stand-alone screen is selected in the menu, click the Edit link below.

Step Two:

In the window that opens select Add, add a wireless network, select Create network type for WiFi,

Step Three:

Fill in the name of the link and fill in an SSID, which is the wireless ID name that will be sent by the computer.
Select Ad-hoc in the Mode bar.

Fourth Step:

Switch to the WiFi Security tab. Choose WPA and WPA2 individuals in security. Fill in the password in the password.

Switch to the IPV4 setting and select Share with other computers in the method

To here and before the first kind of similar, after the method is said to be a buddy installed Kubuntu-desktop, using kubuntu-desktop found that using its own network manager, accidentally found a more than Ubuntu default mode: Ubuntu comes with the network manager only schema and Ad-hoc mode, and kubuntu-desktop version of the network manager has an Access Poin mode, and can choose to create wireless (shared), and Ubuntu can only choose New WiFi

Fifth Step:

So we go to install KDE network Manager, set it up, go to Ubuntu Software Center, enter search network, choose Kde-nm-connection-editor installation.

Sixth step:

After installation, open terminal, Input kde-nm (tab, Auto-complete), enter the popup screen, click the WiFi name just created Ubuntu WiFi hotspot, stand-alone edit (edit), in the pop-up window Note mode: Select Access Point, which is the WiFi mode that the Android device can recognize, OK after the stand-alone OK

Seventh Step:

Next only need the computer in the case of wired networking to activate the WiFi hotspot you just created, in the previous, upper right corner, select Create new WiFi network (creation new Wi-Fi networks), pop-up window, connect (Connection) Select the WiFi hotspot name you just created in the column, the other options are automatically set to complete, wait a moment, your Android device will be able to search your WiFi network and connected!

In the future as long as the seventh part can easily open the wireless ~ ~
