1. Fdisk-l

Viewing the mount point of a USB flash drive

For example:

[Email protected]:~# fdisk-l

Device Boot Start End sectors Size Id Type
/DEV/SDB4 * 248348100 248347845 118.4G 7 Hpfs/ntfs/exfat

The device name of the USB flash drive is SDB4

2. Mkfs-t VFAT/DEV/SDB4

[Email protected]:~# mkfs-t VFAT/DEV/SDB4
Mkfs.fat 3.0.27 (2014-11-12)
Mkfs.vfat:/DEV/SDB4 contains a mounted filesystem.

There is no format successful, prompted to mount a file system, because Ubuntu will automatically mount a USB flash drive to/media/root (or other directory)

Now uninstall the USB drive and use the command UMOUNT/DEV/SDB4

Then use the Format VFAT command

[Email protected]:/media/root# mkfs-t VFAT/DEV/SDB4
Mkfs.fat 3.0.27 (2014-11-12)

The formatting is complete at this time
