Virtual machines often have some inconvenient problems, such as virtual machine and real machine file transfer, mouse switch, etc., after installing VMware Tools, these problems will be well resolved.
Installation:
1) get root privileges.
Open the terminal and use the SU command to switch to the root user. If you fail to get permissions, you can enter sudo passwd to change the password and then execute the SU command to log in.
2) Installing (or reinstalling) virtual machines VMware Tools
After you do this, a tar file appears on your desktop: Vmwaretools-...... tar.gz
Copy this file to the TMP directory and unzip it with tar zxf vm....tar.gz
3) installation.
Enter the unpacked folder and execute the./vmware-install.pl, then just keep going.
4) Restart
After the installation is complete, enter the Reroot command to restart the system.
VMware Tools supports the copying and pasting of files from real and virtual machines, directly using drag and drop. If there is a software on the real machine that wants to be installed on the virtual machine, drag it to finish.
