Dpkg-package mananger for Debian
Dpkg is a tool to install, build, remove and manage Debian packages.
Is a package manager similar to RPM

Common commands:
# Check whether all packages and a software exist
$ Dpkg-l
$ Dpkg-L | grep VI # For example, view the package information of vi
# View the detailed status of an installed package
$ Dpkg-s Vim
# List all files of an installation package
$ Dpkg-l Vim
# View which software package a file in the system belongs
# Find package (s) Owning file (s)
$ Dpkg-s vimrc
