Ubuntu forgot the Logon account and password, and ubuntu forgot the account
I am still a beginner in many aspects. I am also interested in many aspects. I have been installing ubuntu14.04 on my computer for some time, but I am still learning more basic things.
Because the command line interface is not used to it, it is always dependent on the graphic interface. You only need to open it in the graphic interface or use ctrl + alt + f1 to use the terminal.
Not long ago, I tried to set the boot interface to the command line mode by default and wait until all the values are adjusted. the command line mode was activated as expected, but the system suddenly found that the account was forgotten and the password was remembered. so I fell into an endless pain point. after a great deal, I finally solved the problem.
The solution is as follows:
1. Because you cannot enter the graphic mode, you can only press shift to enter the grub interface during startup.
2. Go to the grub interface, select ubuntu advanced options, and press e to enter
3. Press ctrl + x to guide
4. After the boot is complete, select recovery mode.
5. Select root drop to root shell promopt.
6. Enter the boot password to enter the command line
7. Enter "ls-l/home" to query the primary user's username
8. Enter "passwd User Name" to reset the password.
Then you can enter the system as expected.
Therefore, it is not difficult to change the password of A ubuntu physical machine.
