Ubuntu MySQL installation and basic settings

No1. Mysql Installation

sudo Install mysql-server mysql-client

Remember the root password and don't forget it.

No2. Verifying MySQL Installation

sudo service mysql restart

No3. Setting up MySQL remote IP access

/etc/mysql/my.cnf Find bind-address = 127.0.0.1, comment out

No4. Set character sets, collations, and so on.

Open/etc/mysql/my.cnf, add Character-set-server=utf8 after [mysqld]

No5. Set Root remote Access

Mysql-u root-p'root'@'%'password  ' with GRANT OPTION; ->flush privileges;

Restarting the MySQL service will take effect!
