Ubuntu sets the root user logon graphical interface and ubunturoot User Logon

By default, Ubuntu does not allow root users to log on to the graphic interface, but only allows others to log on to the graphic interface. This is very troublesome. Due to permission issues, you cannot copy or delete files at will. When you use gedit to edit files, you are often unable to save the files. You can only use vim to edit the files.

The solution is to edit the/etc/lightdm. conf file (you can back up the file first) and edit the file as follows:

[SeatDefaults] greeter-session = unity-greeteruser-session = effectugreeter-show-manual-login = true

Restart to log on as the root user.
