Ubuntu system font installation, ubuntu system font
I used to use Windows. When I first switched to Ubuntu, I always felt that the font was not so friendly, especially the Chinese font. It was particularly strange to show it on the webpage. Some software does not support Chinese fonts, and Git logs in WebStorm also displays garbled characters. After you set the system language to Chinese, Git logs cannot display Chinese, but the English menu font is strange. It's intolerable!
What should I do? I found this article on Baidu, saying that I can copy the font I like in Windows to Ubuntu for installation. However, the display of the font of is still strange and a little simhei. Helpless! Later, I tried the following method and restarted the system. The font displayed perfectly, which is almost the same as that on Windows!
Enter the following command on the terminal to install the font:
Wget-O get-fonts.sh.zip http://files.cnblogs.com/DengYangjun/get-fonts.sh.zipunzip-o get-fonts.sh.zip 1>/dev/nullchmod a + x get-fonts.sh./get-fonts.sh
To delete the downloaded font installation script, run the following command:
Rm get-fonts.sh get-fonts.sh.zip 2>/dev/null
To restore the default font of the system, run the following command:
Cd/etc/fonts/conf. availsudo mv 51-local.conf.old 51-local.conf 2>/dev/nullsudo mv Zookeeper 2>/dev/nullsudo rm-f-r/usr/share/fonts/truetype/myfonts 2>/dev/null
I tried it on the local machine and it worked very well! Record it here for future use.
