Ubuntu launched a touch-based interface mobile operating system for smartphones and tablets. It plans to launch the mobile operating system together with Ubuntu smartphones in 2014. If you are interested in this new system now, the good news is that you can be on a Nexus device (including Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, or Nexus 10) install the preview version of Ubuntu Touch.
Warning: this is only an early adopters of Ubuntu Touch. The pre-release version is generally called beta, but it can only be regarded as alpha. There are still many components that cannot work normally, and some built-in applications do not have actual functions yet. They just add them to the trap for the integrity of the interface. Installing this preview version will also clear data on your Nexus device. Therefore, make sure to back up all important data before continuing the installation.
If you are still interested in trying to install Ubuntu Touch's preview version and try it out, do not hesitate to continue.
What is Ubuntu Touch?
Ubuntu Touch is a mobile version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system for Touch interfaces released by smartphones and tablets. Ubuntu plans to bring the system into the market with Ubuntu smartphones in 2014.
The most interesting feature of Ubuntu Touch is that it can be integrated with all hardware to provide a seamless user experience. The system can run on smartphones, tablets, desktop PCs, and even Smart TVs. Its operation interface can adapt to different types of devices. This is Ubuntu's philosophy.
