Here are some tips for new Ubuntu users. This series of tutorials helps new Ubuntu users easily configure and manage their computers. This is not intended for expert users, but for those users who have just started using Ubuntu.
The Ubuntu starter is a key part of the Ubuntu Unity desktop. The starter is a vertical bar filled with icons. When you log on, it will be located in the left sidebar of the screen. It allows you to easily open or start programs from the desktop, and allows you to quickly access applications, workspaces, removable devices, and garbage bins.
By default, this starter icon is set to 48X48px, even on a small screen. If you want to increase or decrease the size of the starter, continue with the next step.
There are many reasons to adjust the Unity starter size. One of them is to adapt to a smaller screen. If your screen is small and the default size is not suitable, you need to change it.
If the default size of the icon is too small and you want to increase it, You can adjust the starter to increase the icon so that it is easy to click.
Next, adjust the size, click the gear button in the upper right corner to bring up the menu bar, and click System Settings..., as shown in.
Next, select the Appearance (Appearance)
Finally, use the scroll bar to adjust (increase/decrease) The Icon size of the starter.
This change will be automatically applied. Remember, if you want to continue with the default size, move to 48.
