Haha, the Skype video chat in Ubuntu10.04 is successful. You can identify it when you plug it in, and you don't need to install a driver. 1. view the result with lsusb: wanglf @ darwin :~ $ LsusbBus002Device002: ID046d: c050Logitech, Inc. Haha, for Skype video chat in Ubuntu 10.04, everything went well. You can identify it when you plug it in, and you don't need to install a driver.
1. view the result with lsusb:

2. Use cheese as your photo and paste it:
The installation is especially simple: sudo apt-get install cheese
3. Skype video Testing
Right-click the Skype icon on the system tray and choose "option"> "Video device"> "test ".
4. Video chat
To facilitate the test, I used ssh-X to connect to another machine in the LAN and run Skype. I used another user's account to log on to www.linuxidc.com (no one in the lab for the past two days, ask a person for a number to test it here ):
Haha, lan, good results!
Problem:
1. The msn in Windows does not need to be tried. I tried it with a friend who was on windows and said that my version does not support videos. It cannot be used across platforms. I don't know if it will work in linux.
2. I still haven't tested remote chat. I'm afraid it depends on the network speed. If you are interested in this, contact me. However, this camera is borrowed and should be paid back later. My skype number is the same as the subdomain name of this blog: felonwan.
3. I also have a USB camera, which is disconnected and connected by myself. It can be used on other hosts (both Ubuntu and Windows have tried, but I can't live or die on my own machine.
