I am panic. Because, based on past experience, there is no sound icon in the gnome2.3x notification area, which is usually caused by the problem of sound card drive. In linux, the sound card driver is more difficult than the video card driver.

But there was another doubt in my heart... In the past, I used a variety of common linux desktops. This is okay, including the old Ubuntu. Isn't the new 10.10 support my intel ich5 motherboard's realtek audio card driver integrated with the ac97 ALB chip?

What is the alarm volume? Sometimes, the system reports an error and prompts an error window. The window has a prompt sound, and the volume of the prompt sound and the sound effect are controlled by the sound preference alarm volume.

The new Ubuntu 10.10 uses the indicator applet to integrate the input method of the notification area.
When the indicator applet starts, the notification area will no longer display the input method, so the input method prompt icon will always display one.

I was dumpfounded in the ibus pinyin input method column. When I started using Ubuntu 10.10, I didn't know how to adjust the floating STATUS OF THE ibus-pinyin 1.3.x input method.
I tried it many times before knowing that on the ibus Input Method applet icon, I clicked preferences, and show language panel exists in the middle of font and style.
