Because ubuntu10.10 system comes with the source, can not find the jdk1.5 installation package, so the first step is to add two software source: Deb http://tw.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
Jaunty main restricted universe multiversedeb-Src http://tw.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ jaunty main
Restricted universe multiverse: Enter $ sudo gedit/etc/APT/sources. List in the command line and add the above source at the end of the opened file. Save the file and install jdk1.5 with $ sudo apt-Get update. Run the following command: $ sudo apt-Get install sun-java5-jdk
