Installing Jenkins on Ubuntu is very simple. Please refer to http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/debian/here to describe how to install the openjdkruntime. If you want to use the JDK of Oracle, you need to find the JDK Installation option on the localhost: 8080 page after installation, and enter the account you registered in Oracle, select the required JDK version and set it to the default one. However, OpenJDK is very mature.

Note that the OpenJDK Runtime library is installed by default. If you want to use the JDK of Oracle, you need to find the JDK Installation option on the localhost: 8080 page after installation, and enter the account you registered in Oracle, select the required JDK version and set it to the default one.
However, OpenJDK is very mature. Since Oracle swallowed up Sun, many famous software such as MySQL, JDK, and OpenOffice have exhibited their own open-source versions and escaped from Oracle. I also decided to start using OpenJDK.
After Jenkins is installed, a jenkins script will appear in the/etc/init. d/directory. You can start the service through service jenkins start and disable the service through service jenkins stop. The default port is 8080, which can be run without installing the web server. In addition, the Service is automatically started upon startup.
