Install GAMIT10.40 in Ubuntu12.04: copy the secret to the opt/gamit10.40/directory. Create a folder named 10.40, sudomkdirgamit10.40, and 3. Install Cshell. Sudoapt-getinstallcsh; 4 install gfo

Install GAMIT10.40 in Ubuntu 12.04:

1. Prepare gamitsoftware --gamit.tar.gz at the beginning, which is about 64 M;
2. Copy the downloaded gamit.tar.gz file to the opt/gamit10.40/directory. Create a folder named 10.40 and sudo mkdir gamit10.40;
3. Install Cshell. Sudo apt-get install csh;
4. Install gfortran. Sudo apt-get install gfortran;
5 install libx11-dev library support. Sudo apt-get install libx11-dev;
6. Install the Gamit software and go to The gamit directory. First, decompress sudo tar-xvf gamit.tar.gz. Then run the command chmod + x install_software on the install_software file, then enter. /install_software.
