Recently, I re-formatted the original Ubuntu12.10 and installed the ubuntu13.0464bit system. After the installation, I found that I could not connect to the network using 802.1x EAP authentication, when the password is correct, the prompt "incorrect user name or password" is displayed in the pop-up window. Google has found this bug for a long time: see here. After a hard job, I almost tried to reinstall 12.10. Later I thought about how 12.10 can be used for 802.1x authentication.
Recently, I re-formatted the original Ubuntu 12.10 system with ubuntu 13.04 64bit installed. After the installation, I found that I could not connect to the network using 802.1x EAP authentication, when the password is correct, the prompt "incorrect user name or password" is displayed in the pop-up window. Google has found this bug for a long time: see here. After a hard job, I almost tried to reinstall 12.10. Later I thought that the original 12.10 was able to access the Internet using 802.1x authentication normally. How could this problem be solved by 13.04, this must have been a problem with Network-Manager. Therefore, we uninstalled Network-Manager in 13.04 and re-downloaded an old version of Network-Manager to allow 802.1x to access the Internet. The procedure is as follows:
1. Uninstall Network-Manager in Ubuntu 13.04
Sudo apt-get remove network-manager
Sudo apt-get remove network-manager-gnome
2. Download the old version of Network-Manager. Here I have downloaded the version 0.9.4.
Download Network-Manager
Free in http://linux.linuxidc.com/
The username and password are both www.linuxidc.com
The specific download directory is in the/June/18th/Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit systems cannot use 802.1x EAP authentication for Internet access solution

Download the package, decompress the package, and use the command line terminal to enter the unzipping directory. Then you can install dpkg-I * and restart the system.
3. Do not update network-manager for future system updates
