When Ubuntu is installed, the default is not to log on to the desktop with the root user, but only with regular users or guest logins. How do I open the root user login desktop?
Log in with a normal user, then switch to the root user and execute the following command:
vi /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-ubuntu.conf
Add a sentence to the open file:
greeter-show-manual-login=true
This means that the user is allowed to enter their user name and password at logon.
Then set the login password for the root user, set the way for Ubuntu to set the password for the root user for the first time
Once the setup is complete, you can log on to the desktop using the root user after rebooting the system.
