The code Jaunty Jackalope Ubuntu 9.04 recently released the sixth Alpha test version, which is also the final one. it will be transferred to the Beta and RC phases, and the final official version will be released in May April 23.
Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 6 is based on Linux Kernel 2.6.28-8.26 and integrates X. Org server 1.6. its own programs and software are also updated to the latest version. Other main new features include:
1. Font size optimization: the font DPI settings are optimized based on the display, instead of limited to the default 96 DPI, which can be customized in System → Preferences → Appearance → Fonts → Details.

3. ext4 file system supported: the default file system is ext3, but you can choose to use the new ext4. Whether ext4 will be used by default in the future depends on user feedback.
Known issues:
1. the encrypted home directory option in previous versions is disabled due to severe problems, and will not be enabled by default in the final version.
2. Intel i845/i865 integrated graphics card users cannot load X Windows.
3. the Ctrl + Alt + Backspace key combination is disabled to reduce incorrect press. you can enable it through xorg. conf.
4. the font size may be too large or too small because of incorrect display recognition.
5. The new XServer 1.6 does not support binary fglrx drivers for the time being, which may cause various serious problems.
