I downloaded Ubuntu9.04 overnight. When I installed it the next day, I accidentally found that the wubi that came with Ubuntu 9.04 didn't respond after running it. Then I collected some information on the Internet to find out what the problem was, the solution is as follows: first release a 9.04 wubiinstallation file wubi.exe and ISO files. Install the virtual Optical Drive. (I use WinMount. Many people have reported blue screens. Of course, I have also appeared once or twice, but in most cases, there is no blue screen .) Now use WinMount
I downloaded Ubuntu 9.04 overnight. The next day, I accidentally found that the wubi that came with Ubuntu 9.04 didn't respond after it was run. Then I collected some information on the Internet to find out what the problem was, the solution is as follows:
First, download the 9.04 wubiinstaller wubi.exe and ISO files.
Install the virtual Optical Drive. (I use WinMount. Many people have reported blue screens. Of course, I have also appeared once or twice, but in most cases, there is no blue screen .)
Take WinMount3 as an example. Open WinMount3, click "Mount file", select the iso file of Ubuntu 9.04, and then close the Ubuntu 9.04 installation disk Window that will pop up.
For an XP user, open X: \ Documents ents and Settings \ Z \ Local Settings \ Temp. X indicates the system drive letter, and Z indicates the User Name of the current login user.
Then clear the files. Do not close the files after they are cleared.
Open wubi.exe(enu.exe) 8.10under any directory ).
Return to the window you just opened and you will find two folders. After these two folders are opened, one of them has a file named data, which will be opened with an isolist. double-click the ini file to open the file and change version = 8.10 To version = 9.04. Modify the file based on the version you have installed, for example, to install i386, only need to modify this field under the [Ubuntu-i386], install AMD64 bit, modify the field under the [Ubuntu-amd64], save after modification, return to the wubi installation interface.
After you select the drive letter, volume, user name, and password for installation, wait for a moment.
After the installation is complete, do not rush to restart ubuntu, because errors may occur. In this case, go to the ubuntu installation directory and copy all the folders under ubuntu \ install to the ubuntu \ disks directory, the system will prompt that the same folder already exists, overwrite it, and restart it.
The installation of Ubuntu 9.04 in windows is coming to an end. You can install ubuntu after you select Ubuntu.
Update: vista users can enter % temp % in the Start menu to view the Temporary Folder.
Update: You can directly use the wubi package in 9.04 to change the marking of all drive letters to English.
