I have reinstalled my laptop to Ubuntu 9.10 over the weekend. It has been a good experience so far. 9.10 has indeed improved a lot on the basis of 8.04, and the new input method ibus also feels very good. It is uncomfortable to find the "recent document" record during the use process. Isn't it possible for others to find out what is not harmonious? In Windows, you only need to change the registry. What should I do in Ubuntu?
I searched the internet and found two methods:
I. Permission change method
$ Echo ""> $ HOME/. recently-used.xbel
$ Chmod 400 ~ /. Recently-used.xbel
2. Create a configuration file
$ Touch ~ /. Gtkrc-2.0
Edit this file
$ Sudo gedit ~ /. Gtkrc-2.0
Add the following configuration line and save and close it.
Gtk-recent-files-max-age = 0
