Preface (spit Groove, can be skipped directly):
Before booting with the grub configuration, the two systems were installed on a solid-state drive, and then for some reason ... Win10 must be re-installed to solve the problem (or is this the simplest solution that was learned at the time つ﹏?) after the reload with the Rehl of the CD-ROM how can not repair the startup item, was busy writing a thesis to do the completion of the set, there is no tube it. A few days ago I think there is a history left over to solve the problem ... Anyway, there is no important thing, simply to re-install the tray (and then on various issues for several days), find a lot of tutorials finally put the two systems are installed ... Below is also a tutorial summary ... The whole is to follow Smstong's blog in the method to achieve the desired goal, to pay tribute to the predecessors?
Body
1. Hardware environment:
- OCZ ARC100 hard disk in GPT format
- HP Envy dv4 Notebook
2. Installation media:
- WIN10 with u disk installation
- RHEL6.5 with CD-ROM installation
3. Installation process:
Ⅰ. Installing WIN10
- Create a WIN10 Startup disk
Mirror Itellyou, using the software is Rufus, click "Create a Startup disk using" the right side of the optical drive icon to load the image, the rest of the configuration as follows, click to wait a few minutes after the completion of production. (O゜▽゜) o☆
- Install WIN10 in UEFI mode
(The following steps are for HP notebooks only, other self-test)
Restart Press ESC to enter the boot option, F9 Select the boot device, select the USB flash drive with the UEFI logo, then go to the installation screen, select the installation system disk, follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Ⅱ. Installing RHEL6.5
For detailed steps, see the following: RHEL 6.5 system Installation Configuration illustration tutorial, here is a simple tip:
- Install the Rhel CD and restart the computer
- When installing WIN10, Select the CD drive with UEFI identity to boot
- Then go to the installation interface, where you need to be aware of the ESP (EFI System Partition) partition that mounts/boot/efi to disk!!!
- Then set the swap partition, mount the root directory, and follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Still a little bit more hard disk users note that the Installboot loader on sth default is/DEV/SDA, should choose to install the installation system of the hard disk , the single drive does not need to change.
At the same time, the following system list can be removed from the WIN10 startup item in this article, or the startup item will be deleted after the Rhel system is started.
Through the above steps to complete the installation of the dual system, the WIN10 system can start normally, but there is no Rhel system startup item at startup.
Ⅲ. Configuring startup Mode
Based on the analysis of Smstong's blog post, the dual-system boot configuration has been perfected.
Use the third-party boot manager instead of the Bootmgfw.efi location, and let the manager provide chained load Bootmgfw.efi and Grub.efi. I chose Refind, and the experiment proved to be completely feasible. Feasible )
- Download Refind
- Modify the Refind folder under the Refind.conf-sample file name refind.conf and open it in Notepad
- Modify the Refind.conf file, the following is a brief configuration (detailed description in the configuration file, the rest of the function please read the instructions)
Timeout 10
Showtools Shell, Mok_tool, about, reboot, exit, firmware
Scanfor internal,external,optical,manual
Dont_scan_files Shim.efi,mokmanager.efi,memtest.efi,bootmgr.efi
Scan_all_linux_kernels
Default_selection Windows
Where the default_selection item should match the folder name set in section 4th.
Mount the ESP partition (the Mount as reference link under Windows), in the explorer you can find the EFI folder inside the ESP partition, with/redhat,/microsoft and other folders.
In the Notepad "Save as" window that starts with administrator rights, the file is moved and renamed.
- cut The/efi/microsft/boot folder to a different disk and rename boot to Windows (Will prompt "BCD file" to occupy, skip it)
- Rename the Refind folder to boot and move to the/efi/microsft path
- Move the modified Windows folder in Ⅰ to the/efi folder
At this time, the EFI file should have/redhat,/microsoft,/windows and other folders, confirm error After restarting the computer , the computer appears the following interface indicates the success of the configuration.
UEFI+GPT installation of WIN10 and RHEL6.5 dual Systems
