Do this first on the Ubuntu command line:

Apt-get Install Nodejs

Then we need to install NPM, which is the version management tool for Nodejs:

Apt-get Install Nodejs

Then we can use NODE-V to see the version, if the version is found to be very low (as of this post completed is v0.12.2), to the official website https://nodejs.org/download/, this page download Linux Binaries (. tar.gz) version of the compressed package.

Then use the administrator permissions to replace the contents of this in the Apt-get default installation directory.
