1. Change the vmare connection to a bridge first. :
2. Disable the hardware verification of the NIC during local connection.
3. Check the virtual IP address in ifconfig on the Linux terminal. Then, check whether the virtual IP address can be pinged under xp.
Similarly, in Linux, you also need to ping the local IP address (IP address under XP ).
After the ping is successful, telnet vmIP port (22 by default for SSH) under xp to check whether the connection is successful.
