10.3 Upgrade View Connection server
This section describes the system requirements for the View connection server and the steps for upgrading.
10.3.1 View Connection Server system requirements
The View Connection server acts as a client connection broker and is responsible for authenticating and directing incoming user requests to the appropriate remote desktops and applications. View connection servers (including standard, replica, and secure server installations) have specific hardware, operating system, installation, and support software requirements.
1 supported operating systems for View connection server
You must install the View connection server on a supported Windows server operating system.
Table 10-4 lists the operating systems supported by the View connection server, including standard, replica, and secure server installations.

"description" View 6.2 no longer supports Windows Server R2 with no service Pack, and if you are planning to upgrade a View connection server running in the Windows Server R2 operating system, install the SP1 patch for it.
2 Hardware Requirements
You must install all View connection Server installation types (including standard, replica, and secure server installations) on dedicated physical or virtual machines that meet specific hardware requirements. The hardware requirements for the View connection server are shown in table 10-5.

Note the physical or virtual machine that hosts the View connection server must have an IP address that does not change. In the IPV4 environment, configure the static IP address. In a IPV6 environment, the computer automatically obtains IP addresses that do not change.
10.3.2 Upgrade View connection server to version 6.2
After the upgrade View composer Server is complete, upgrade the View connection server, the main steps are as follows.
(1) switch to the View Connection server virtual machine, open "console" and add "certificates → local Computer" management component, in "personal → certificate", view the current certificate is valid, and only one certificate, 10-25 is shown.
(2) Open "services" to view Horizon view each service status is "Started", 10-26 shows.

(3) then start running VMware Horizon 6.2 connection Server Setup, as shown in 10-27.
(4) In the License Agreement dialog box, accept the license agreement, as shown in 10-28.

(5) In the Ready to install the Program dialog box, click the Install button, 10-29.
(6) Start the installation after installation, as shown in 10-30.

(7) After the installation is complete, do not need to restart, refresh in the "services", check the VMware Horizon View related services are started, upgrade completed, 10-31 is shown.

Finally, re-login to view Administrator, in "View configuration → server", you can see the version number of the upgraded View connection server in "Connection Server", as shown in 6.2.0-3005368,10-32.

Note: If you are upgrading across versions, such as from view 5.x to 6.x, you also need to click Edit license in view configuration → product licensing and usage, and add a new license, as shown in 10-33. The original 5. The license for X will not be available after the upgrade.

10.3.3 upgrade failure requires rejoin to domain
If the view connection server upgrade fails, and you restore to the pre-installation state by backing up the virtual machine or snapshot, when you log on as a domain administrator, you are prompted to "the trust relationship between this sleep host domain failed", as shown in 10-33.

For such errors, detach the current view connection server from the domain and rejoin the domain, the main steps are as follows.
(1) Enter the System Properties page, in Computer name/domain changes, will be part of the domain, select Workgroup, and optionally set up a workgroup, as shown in dddd,10-34. Then restart the virtual machine.

(2) After entering the system again, add the computer to the original domain (do not rename, use the original name), 10-35 is shown.

After you enter the system again, the view connection server resumes successfully.
