This upgrade cannot is done with MAK keys since the MAK keys is associated with multiple editions of product. You has to use a product key, which is a unique for the edition of Windows Server R2, that's upgrading to. |
According to the official explanation, the serial number obtained from MSDN is not intended to be used to upgrade the current version of Windows if it applies to multiple versions. Version upgrades can only be made using the serial number "single version".
