Today we look at the system upgrade of Dynamics CRM 2015, for the upgrade of the new system, we have two upgrade methods: 1) Upgrade the old system through the Dynamics CRM 2015 installation package in the existing system, 2) migrate the old system to the new system. In this article, we use the second approach, and of course, this is the Microsoft recommended method.
Before upgrading the system, we need to do a series of preparatory work. In the previous blog post, I also mentioned a lot of feature in the new system, and I don't recommend upgrading the existing system until the end user is fully accurate. Before upgrading the Dynamics CRM 2013 system, we must install the SP1 patch pack for it, otherwise the upgrade will not pass validation! As for the upgrade step, see below:
1. Back up the database of the old system
2. Restore the database backup file to the new system's database
3. Activate the Dynamics CRM 2015 guided data option to start the system upgrade
4. Select the database to be restored
5. Specify the organization name for the new system
6. Specify the SSRS path
7. User Mapping
8. Verification
9. Start the upgrade
10. End
During the upgrade process, there are many strange and evil problems, most of which are related to the environment of the system and the Code of development, so we have the patience to analyze the error log of Dynamics CRM and analyze the specific errors.
Upgrade! Upgrade your Dynamics CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 2015!
