Use a Linux virtual machine to install CentOS6.4 and vspherecentos6.4 In the VMware vSphere Client.
Preface: companies need to prepare virtualization to virtualize physical machines with high configurationsNVirtual machines to provide services for more application services.
1. Connect to the physical machine using the vShere client, select "configuration"> "Storage"> "Data Storage", right-click and choose "Browse Data Storage" to upload files, as shown in:
2. Upload the centos. iso file to be installed.
3. Right-click to create a VM and select the installation type.
4. Enter the Virtual Machine name.
5. Select the target storage of virtual machine files and the operating system of the Virtual Machine (Linux)
6. Select the operating system type of the VM.
7. Select the disk space used by the VM.
8. Select "Edit VM settings before completion"
9. Select the number of Virtual Machine kernels.
10. Select the iso file installed on the Virtual Machine. Here, install the file from the CD.
11. In the device status, select "connected" and "connect when power is turned on" to restart the Virtual Machine and install it, as shown below:
12. Start to install the Linux System of the VM from the CD, turn on the power, and then view the console, as shown below:
13. Select the installation mode
Install or upgrade an existing system Install or upgrade the existing system
Install system with basic video driver
Rescue installed system enters system Repair Mode
Boot from local drive exit installation start from hard disk
Memory test Memory Detection
Because the existing iso system is imported, select the first item here to install or upgrade the existing system. Press enter.
14. If you want to test the CD media, click "Skip" to Skip the test.
15. continue to the Next step and select "Next"
16. The language of the installation process is English by default. (You can use these basic English terms. It's good to say that you have been studying English for so long, ^_^ ).
17. The keyboard mode option is "U. S English", and the American keyboard
18. Select the device to be installed. Select Basic Storage Devices in the Basic Storage device mode ".
19. Ignore the original data and select "Yes, discard any data"
20. Do not click "Configure Network". You can manually Configure it later and click "Next"
21. In the time zone, select Asia/Shanghai as the time zone, pull down and select "Asia/Shanghai", and then click "Next ",
22. Set the password for the root user, enter the password, and click "Next"
23. Select the disk partition and customize the Layout. Select "Create Custom Layout" and click "Next"
24. Start creating a disk. Click "Create", select the "Standard Partition" option, and click "Create"
We can see the hard disk capacity. Here I show 60 GB, now custom partition.
Note: before partitioning, you must plan how to partition. The partition here is as follows:
The total disk size is 60 GB and the memory size is 8 GB;
The/boot directory can be allocated mb. Swap2G (when the memory is less than 2 GB, it is set to 2 times the memory; when the memory is greater than or equal to 2 GB, it is set to 2 GB. Here, the memory is 8 GB, so I will set 2 GB); the root directory/will allocate all the remaining disk space
Note: For servers used for formal production, you must partition the data disk separately to ensure data integrity in case of system problems. For example, you can divide another/data to store data.
(1) Create/boot directory, 200 M
(2) create a swap partition, 2G
(3) create a primary disk partition and all disk space
25. After the disk is allocated, click "Next"
26. In the displayed window, select "Format" to start formatting.
27. Select "Write changes to disk" in the pop-up window to format and Write data.
28. After formatting, select "Next ".
29. Select the Customize now button, and then select the component you have installed:
The default value is Minimal (minimum). If you are studying for the first time, we recommend that you select Desktop (Desktop). If you are using it as a formal server, we recommend that you select Minimal (minimum, select custom, select "mimize now", and click "Next" to continue the Next step.
30. Select some basic network service components, Perl components, Language Pack components, and Server components,
(Perl is required. Otherwise, VMware Tools, system managerment tools, and network tools cannot be installed. Otherwise, you cannot access the Internet. Choose other Tools)
You can choose to install the linux System in yum and click "Next" for the Next step.
31. Start the installation package component.
32. After the component is installed, restart the instance and click "Reboot" to restart the instance.
33. After the restart, log on as the root user and configure the Virtual Machine network.
Configure the network IP address:
Ifconfig eth0 10.2xx.1.xx netmask 255.255.255.0
Configure the router address:
Route add-net 0.0.0.0 gw 10.2xx.1.1
Restart the network service:
Service network restart
34. check the network and ping the server under cmd.
C: \ Users \ Administrator> ping 10.2xx.1.xx
Pinging 10.2xx.1.xx with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.2xx.1.xx: byte = 32 time = 69 ms TTL = 63
Reply from 10.2xx.1.xx: byte = 32 time = 84 ms TTL = 63
Reply from 10.2xx.1.xx: byte = 32 time = 66 ms TTL = 63
Reply from 10.2xx.1.xx: byte = 32 time = 63 ms TTL = 63
Ping statistics for 10.254.1.50:
Packet: Sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0 (0% lost ),
Estimated round-trip time (in milliseconds ):
Minimum = 63 ms, maximum = 84 ms, average = 70 ms
C: \ Users \ Administrator>
OK. Now, the basic Linux virtual machine is built. You can install the required service components as needed.
