For the purpose of early adopters, many people want to install Ubuntu 11.10 on the basis of Windows 11.10, But Because Ubuntu uses GRUB 2 to guide the system, if you are used to Windows, you need to go to the GRUB boot interface before entering the NT6.x boot interface of Windows 7 after installing Ubuntu. If you have installed Windows XP, you need to go to NT 5. x guide interface, this will be very troublesome. So, isn't there any better way? There are some methods, and they are still very simple. Let's make a short talk. Next we will go to the graph-based conversation process ~~~

I won't talk about the previous installation part. Let's start with the key points ~~~

Step 1: When the installation process is in the partition creation phase (for example), You must select [/] (root partition) for the device that installs the boot guide) the [/dev/sda1] device under the mount point (it is necessary to describe it here, because this figure is captured under the virtual machine, it is a single system, if it is a single hard disk with dual system, [/dev/sda1] should be your C drive. It must be clear that it is the device on the [/] mount point)

Step 2: After Ubuntu 11.10 is installed, restart is required and then restarted. After the restart, because GRUB of Ubuntu is installed on the device at the [/] mount point, it will first enter NT 6 of Windows 7. x boot interface, because NT 6. x is not compatible with GRUB 2, which is in NT 6. on the BCD menu of x, Ubuntu 11.10 is invisible. Don't worry. Let's go to Win7 first, and then start playing the second main character ~~~ It's EasyBCD!

Step 3: Download EasyBCD 2.1.1 after entering Win7

Official English address: http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2007-12/10060.htm

After downloading and installing the tool, run it (for example). Click Add New Entry, Linux/BSD, and select GRUB 2 from the Type drop-down menu ], click Add Entry to Add the Ubuntu 11.10 menu.

Note: You can enter your own Name in the Name Project!

Step 4: After the boot menu of Ubuntu 11.10 is added, it is basically completed. If you want to adjust the startup sequence of the menu, continue to look down. Otherwise, it will flow through ~~~

(For example), click Edit Boot Menu to set the Boot Menu, and then select the system Menu to be set as the Default Boot option on Default. In addition, you can use the Up and Down keys to adjust the proper position of the System menu. The default system start time is set at. After the system is finished, click Save Settings to Save and exit.

Last step: restart the system to view the Ubuntu 11.10 menu, press the [Up] and [Down] arrow keys on the keyboard, select Ubuntu 11.10, and press enter to see the GRUB 2 boot interface familiar with Ubuntu.
