4. Set the receiving device

The receiving device refers to the device connected to the virtual wireless connection. The receiving device may be a computer with a wireless network card, or a mobile phone or iPad.

Note: Before setting the receiving device, try to connect the device once. If the device fails, perform this step again.. Common failures include: failed to obtain the IP address, displaying the connection, but not accessing the network, and only accessing some networks (such as logging on to QQ but not browsing the Web page ).

Set the recipient to a fixed IP address, and set the IP address as follows (using andriod as an example ):

1. view the bandwidth connection information. SelectedBroadband connectionRight-click to view itsStatus, Select
Details, Write down the two IP addresses of the DNS server. For example:

2. View WiFi connection properties. InNetwork ConnectionWindow, right-clickWiFi, Enter itsAttributeInterface; double-click
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)To go to the TCP/IP Settings page. Check the IP address and write it down. Generally, it is 192.168.xxx.1 and my IP address is 192.168.85.1. The IP address is used as an example below. For example:

3. Set static IP addresses

IP Address: 192.168.85.x -- the first three sections of 192.168.85 are the IP address segments connected to WiFi in the notebook. For details, see. X in the last section is a custom value. The value can be 2 ~ 255. Of course, if there are multiple receiving devices, make sure that the X of each device is different.

Gateway: 192.168.85.1 -- this address is the IP address of the WiFi connection in the notebook. For details, see.

Domain Name:. 161.159.5 Domain Name:. 161.158.10 -- domain name, equivalent to DNS in Windows network connection. Domain names 1 and 2, that is, the two DNS servers obtained by broadband connection, see.

5. Connect to wifi

After the above settings are complete, you can connect the receiving device to the WiFi hotspot created in the notebook.

Take android as an example. After enabling WiFi, go to the WiFi settings page, select Add WiFi site, enter the SSID as the hotspot name previously entered in connectify, and enter the password to connect to the network.

Note:

1. No WiFi hotspot is set up after setting

After setting up according to the instructions in this article, there is still no wifi hotspot. The most likely reason is that your wireless Nic is not compatible with connectify. Incompatibility can be divided into two categories. One is hardware incompatibility, which cannot be solved. You can discard connectify. The other is hardware compatibility, but the wireless NIC Driver version is too low, in this case, you can upgrade the wireless NIC Driver. In addition, in the connectify entry of Baidu encyclopedia, you can check whether your network adapter is in the list.

2. Android cannot find the Wi-Fi network established by connectify

Some Android mobile devices do not support ad-hoc networks. Therefore, if you select ad-hoc, WEP, or ad-hoc or open When configuring connectify, android mobile devices cannot find the network or prompt that the ADHOC Network is not supported. To solve this problem, you need to enter your mobile device model and adhoc keywords in Baidu, and enter the ADHOC patch in the Android device to solve the problem. For details, refer to Baidu.

3. Exit connectify and disable the wireless network card. The wifi hotspot is still available.

Sometimes, after you exit connectify, or even shut down the fyd and connectifyservice background processes in the process, the WiFi hotspot is still available, and others can still search and connect to your computer. Then, disable the hard switch of the wireless network and disable the wireless network, and find that the wireless network can still be connected. In fact, connectify shares your wireless network card directly on the hardware layer. The so-called hard switch and soft switch cannot change the hardware attribute of the wireless network card, so it can still connect to wifi. The solution is to re-open connectify and its background service process, and then re-start
And then click "Stop Hotspot. That is to say, when you plan to disable WiFi sharing, you must use connectify's stop hotspot to disable sharing!
