What is the purpose of creating a website with Dreamweaver8? Put it on the Internet, that is, the final release of your website. Are there any errors during the webpage creation process? Therefore, before release, we should carefully check whether there are any errors.
Before releasing a website, use the Dreamweaver 8 website manager to check and organize your website files. This step is necessary. You can find broken links, error codes, and unused isolated files for correction and handling.
Follow these steps: Click "site"> "Check site range link" on the editing view menu bar. The "result" dialog box is displayed, as shown in the following figure:
The following figure shows all the information about the link between the website and the external website. If the external link is not correct, check whether it is correct.
The following figure shows the isolated files found by the scanner. These files are not used on your webpage, but are still stored in your website folder. After uploading, they occupy a valid space and should be cleared. The cleanup method is: first select the file, click the Delete key, and OK. These files are stored in the recycle bin ".
If you do not want to delete these files, click the Save Report button (as shown in the figure above). In the displayed dialog box, you can give the report file a save path and file name. The report file is a list of check results. You can refer to this table for processing.
After rectification and organization, your website can be published.
