Partition resizing is a method to increase extra space for a partition when the space of the partition cannot meet the usage requirements. Many friends usually use PartitionMagic to do this. But in fact, users who use Windows XP/Server 2003 or later can use the built-in disk management function to "increase" the partition space ". Next we will discuss it with examples.

1. Draw free space

Assume that you need to add 1 GB space to the D disk, which needs to be extracted from the E disk. First, we need to split the 1 GB space from the edisk. The procedure is as follows:

First, transfer all data on the e-disk to another partition, click Start> Run, enter "Diskmgmt. msc", and press enter to open the "disk management" window. Right-click an edisk and choose delete logical drive from the shortcut menu. In the pop-up box, click "yes" to continue. After the operation is completed, the available space of the same size as the deleted partition will appear in the "disk 0" column.
