In ArcGIS 10.1, ArcPad axf reader is added to allow users to directly use the data interoperability extension module.Read the contents of the ArcPad axf file until ArcGIS
Before the official release of 10.1, FME provided a temporary free license for FME ArcPad data interoperabilityedition to read ArcPad axf data, which is included in ArcPad 10 SP3 and later versions.
In ArcGIS for top10.1, FME ArcPad data interoperability extension is called FME extension for ArcGIS. fmeinteroperability tools toolbox completely replaces datainteroperability toolbox.
Required software:ArcPad10.0.3 and above,Arceditor10/ArcInfo10/ArcView10 or more.
Note: The data interoperability extension module is required.
1. Install FME extension for ArcGIS
1. Install ArcPad 10 SP3 (or ArcPad 10 SP4 );
2. Install the 32-bit FME 2011 SP4 (or a later version). Click here to download it;
Install FME after the download is complete, as shown in:
Click Next to continue the installation. After the installation is complete, the system prompts you to enter the authorization file to go to step 2.
3. Register FME 2011sp4;
InSafeWebsiteClick "Activate" in step 2, fill in relevant information, and click "Start download" to download the fmearcpaddatainteropedition. fmelic file.After the download is complete, in the authorization dialog box that appears in the previous step, select "Install
A licensefile provided by safe software ", browse the downloaded fmelic file, and click" Activate "to complete registration.
4. Activate the extension module;
In ArcMap and arccatalog, select customize> extensions. In the extended list, data interoperability extension is changed to fmeextension for ArcGIS. Select the check box before the extension module, activate this module.
5. Add the FME interoperability tool to arctoolbox;
Open arctoolbox, right-click and select "add toolbox". In the displayed dialog box, select the installation path of FME interoperabilitytools. tbx, and click open.
2. Use ArcMap to browse axf files
1. Open ArcMap and expand the catalog window;
2. Locate the axf file.
For example, select the directory "C: \ Users \ public \ Documents \ ArcPad \ samples \ Riverside", which contains an axf file. The icon is the element set icon, the table is represented as a vertex layer, even if it is empty;
3. Drag the dataset to ArcMap for browsing.
In addition to browsing, you can also read axf files normally like other data operations, such as modifying layer symbols and exporting data.
