Since Ubuntu 10.10, the Ubuntu Software Center has taken over the installation of the deb package and removed the GDebi management tool from the default Integrated Software List. With the increasing strength of Ubuntu software Centers (beginning to develop towards app store, and attracting many game developers and application vendors to release paid software on-site), the problem is becoming more and more serious, that is, the software center is getting bloated and it is often unable to install the Deb package.
Therefore, it is necessary to install a GDebi for your Ubuntu to manage the installation of the deb package.
For Ubuntu and related derivative versions, run the following command to install GDebi:
Sudo apt-get install gdebi
How to copy the Code:
Right-click the deb package and select GDebi from open mode.
We recommend that you set the default open mode of the deb package to GDebi.
