Use open to confirm file format conversion in Word 2007

In the Word2007 document, in order to better use the "restore text from any File" feature, users need to enable the "Confirm file format on open" feature to make the file Format Conversion dialog box appear when you open and recover files, allowing you to more flexibly control the file restore process. The steps to enable the "Confirm file format conversion on open" feature in Word2007 are described below:

Step 1th, open the Word2007 document window, and click the Office Button → Word Options button, as shown in Figure 2012040611.

Step 2nd, open the Word Options dialog box and switch to the Advanced tab. In the general area, select the Confirm file format conversion on open check box, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2012040612.
