Use Toad for remote Oracle 12C data connection
1. Install Oracle12c on the local machine. If you want to install a database on the local machine, select to install data. If you only need to connect remotely, skip this step without installing a database,
2. Configure TNSNAMES)
1) Open the network configuration Assistant Under the oracle program
As shown in figure
2) Select Local Net service name configuration> next to go to The add page.
3) [add]-> [next] To Go To The Net service name configuration page.
In this case, the service name must be the global database name of the remote database, that is, the global name specified by the database during design.
4) after the service name is configured, a network connection protocol is required.
Select TCP to go to the next step.
5) The preceding Protocol: TCP/IP protocol. To communicate with a remote database, you must specify the remote Database Host Name: IP address. That is, the IP address of the host where the database to be accessed is located. The default port number is 1521, which does not need to be changed.
6) After the configuration is complete (in fact, another step is worse: Change the login) to test whether the connection is successful.
7) the test will not succeed. You need to change the logon status.
8) Change Logon: the user name and password are specified when the remote database is created. The test is successful:
9) Last step: specify a name for the previously configured NET service name. Of course, it has the default name: The Global Database Name of the previously specified remote database. After the name is specified here, when Toad is used for connection, the drop-down list of the database is the name you specify now.
10) decompress Toad to crack the version and start it.
Enter the user name and password
