Action modifies the main title of the page: at the top of the page (index.htm), the template presets a banner title called "Home Page", which is out of tune with the entire home page. Click on the banner, press the "Del" key to delete, and then insert a prepared banner picture in the same position as the home page title.

Action Modify navigation bar Links: On the left side of the home page, there is a navigation bar (table of Contents), in the establishment of the site, the navigation bar to establish a number of links to the site. These links cannot be modified in the Web page window and can only be modified in the Navigation view window of the site administration. However, you can add links to the navigation bar in the Web Page view window. Action to add a horizontal line to the page: horizontal line for the planning page has a great effect, you can make the page clear, concise. Click the mouse at the position where you want to insert the horizontal line, and the horizontal line appears when you select Insert/horizontal line. Note that the horizontal line for general template pages is automatically set by the program's appearance properties. In other cases, the operator will set the horizontal line color, thickness and so on.

The form is actually the basic element of a Web page, just like text and pictures, but in a Web page, a larger purpose is to plan the page. In fact, in the Web page editing, through the space, paragraph, indentation, etc. is very difficult to plan a lot of elements of the page, especially the graphic mixed page.

Adding a commonly used data table in FrontPage is as easy as adding a table in Word, using the Insert Table command directly, and then filling in the data. You can even add a Word file from the Paste it in.

Action to add a simple table: Click the mouse where you want to insert the table, select Table/Insert/table, set the table's Properties in the pop-up dialog box, select the number of rows in the table--2, select the number of columns in the table-1, and then specify the width of the table to set the width of the table as a percentage of the width of the page. or directly set the absolute width of the table--pixels. Action adds text to a table: entering text in a table doesn't make any difference in typing text on a normal edit page, and when you generate a home page template, the program adds an advanced control to the Web page that automatically displays the update time of the page. Drag the control into the table. In this way, a table showing the creator of the Web page is made.

Action sets the properties of the table: The table's properties are more complex and are grouped into cell properties and table properties. Select the table, then select the Menu Table/Properties/table, and in the pop-up window you can set the table's borders, backgrounds, colors, and so on. In particular, the table is floating, the table floating is to set the entire table alignment, and the general alignment is to set the elements within the table alignment.

Operation graphic Mixed row: Add a table with only one cell in the desired position and set other properties. Add a picture to the table and set the size of the table. Then set the table to "left float", adjust the text, so that the text on the right side of the table. In this way, the graphics and text to match the mixed row is obtained.

Action to specify a theme for a Web page: Open the Home page, choose Format/Theme, and pop up the topic window. On the left side of the theme window, lists the topics you can choose from, the default is "Straight Edge", click on these topics, you can see the style of the subject in the right window, such as what the banner is, what color, the style of the title, the display style of the hyperlink, the style of the navigation bar and so on. In addition, you can also set whether a background picture is required, whether to use bright colors and so on. Select the fade theme and click OK to see the effect in the page window.

Topics are designed in advance, if you have any special requirements, and FrontPage does not allow you to edit the page when you modify, this time, you can customize the theme.

Operation test pages and Web site: Now, my home page is basically completed, to test the home page and the entire site, to see if the page is normal, the hyperlinks are correct, the design of what is still defective. Open the home page you want to preview, and then choose File/preview home page in browser so that I can see the real look of my well-designed home page. Test the time, to carefully look at the various elements of the page to see if there is not the right place. Change some of the browser's related settings, such as font size, full screen, Zoom window. Click on the hyperlinks on the page to see if you can jump to the correct page. Also, it's a good idea to copy the entire Web site folder to another machine to see if it's correct, especially if the font is displayed correctly.

Action View site reports: Select the report icon in the View window and open the Report window, where you can see some statistics for the entire site. Take a closer look at the data and see if there are any problems, such as invalid hyperlinks. If there is no problem, you can publish it.
