Summary of LSNRCTL commands

    • Change_password -- allows the user to change the password required to close the listener
    • Exit -- exit LSNRCTL
    • Quit -- execute the same function as exit
    • Reload -- re-read the listener. ora file, but do not close the listener. If the file changes, it refresh the listener.
    • Save_config -- when the listener. ora file is modified from the LSNRCTL tool, save the configuration and copy a listener. ora file named listener. Bak.
    • Services -- list a summary table of services and process each protocol serviceProgramNumber of established and rejected connections
    • Start listener -- start a specified listener
    • Status listener -- display the status of the specified listener
    • Trace -- enable the tracing feature of the listener

SET command options in the LSNRCTL command

    • current_listener -- set the current listener to a specified listener or display the current listener
    • displaymod -- set the display mode of LSNRCTL to raw, compact, normal, or verbose.
    • inbound_connect_timeout -- in seconds, specify the time for a client to complete a listener connection request after the network connection is established. If the listener cannot receive the request within this allocation time, a ORA-12525 error will be generated
    • log_status -- check whether the log feature is enabled for the listener
    • LOG_FILE -- display or set the log file name
    • log_directory -- display the log directory location
    • rawmod -- displays more details about status and services (when they are set to on ). Value: ON or OFF
    • startup_waittime -- set the length of time for the listener to wait for a status command in the LSNRCTL command line tool
    • save_config_onstop -- save changes to the listener. ora file when you exit the LSNRCTL tool
    • trc_level -- set the Trace Level to off, user, admin, or support
    • TRC_FILE -- set the name of the listener trace file
    • trc_directory -- set the name of the listener trace directory
