Use NotePad to easily create personalized OEM Information

After the XP installer downloaded from the internet is installed, it is uncomfortable to see other people's OEM information. There are two ways to modify: in the registry, errors are prone to, and the steps are cumbersome; or use special tools (such as Windows optimization master), you need to install additional software. Next we will introduce a very simple method, which can be easily done in three steps.

I. Prepare OEM Information

(1) Open the Notepad program and enter the following lines:
[Version]
Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition
WinVer = 5.01

[General]
Manufacturer = ** (** can be changed based on your preferences)

Then save the file as oeminfo. ini.

(2) Upload a BMP image smaller than characters and rename it oemlogo.bmp. IT eight brother Network (http://www.it8g.com) remind everyone that the picture is displayed in the System Properties of the manufacturer picture.

Ii. Create a self-decompressed File

And check the check box (1) Before "Create a compressed file in self-extracting format". Then switch to the "advanced" tab and click the "self-extracting options" button, in the "decompress path" dialog box, enter C: WINDOWSsystem32 and click "OK". The OEM information is ready.

Iii. "Install" OEM Information

Click the "Install" button next to the oem.exe File Created in double-click, and right-click "my computer" to check the properties. What's the effect? (2 )!
