Use the system's own recorder program in Ubuntu to record your computer's audio output (for example, the sound of your computer playing a video), or to record external audio input (for example, your own speaking voice)
1. Recording Computer audio output
In the hardware option, set configure settings for selected devices to analog stereo output
2. Recording external environment audio input
A) In the hardware option, set the settings configuration for selected devices to analog stereo duplex
b) in the "Input" option, turn on the "input volume" control, the connector select "Microphone"
Note: the "internal microphone" can be selected, but it is tested and the noise is larger
3. Open "Application--Audio and Video recorder", click on the red button to start the sound of computer playback
Above in Asus K43SV Notebook, under Ubuntu 12.04 test Pass.
