We know that every time we use ansible, we need to collect system information. This step takes a lot of time. We can use redis to save the GATHERING time.

1. ansible. cfg

[Defaults] gathering = smartfact_caching = redisfact_caching_timeout = 86400

2. install redis

Mac

Brew install redisvim/usr/local/etc/redis. conf · daemonize yes ·/usr/local/bin/redis-server/usr/local/etc/redis. conf

3. install python driver

Sudo easy_install pipsudo pip install redis
