Installing rlwrap on Linux is very simple,

Add
Alias sqlplus = 'maid sqlplus'

You can also use rlwrap on solaris 10 to add the historical echo function for sqlplus.
Only on solaris10, if the SHELL uses csh and sh, it seems that alias does not work, you need to use/bin/bash
Change SHELL to vi/etc/passwd
Root: x: 0: 0: Super-User: // sbin/sh
Change
Root: x: 0: 0: Super-User: // bin/bash

In this way, the history echo function of the solaris Command Line is also added.
