How to use SQL Server proxy to schedule DTS Packages (Enterprise Manager)

Use SQL Server proxy to schedule DTS Packages

  1. In the SQL Server Enterprise Manager Console tree, expand the "manage" node and click "SQL Server proxy ".
  2. In the details pane, right-click "job" and then click the "new job" command.
  3. On the "General" tab, complete the configuration of the new job.
  4. Click the "Steps" tab, click "new", and then Perform one of the following operations:
    • In the "Step name" box, type a name.
    • In the "type" list, click "operating system commands" (Cmdexec) "option.
    • Type this package in the "command" text boxDtsrunCommand.

DescriptionThe scheduled package is run by the SQL Server proxy and does not have the shared drive letter and permission of the package creator.
