Use SystemBack to back up/restore your Ubuntu/Linux Mint

For any operating system that allows users to restore their computers to their previous State (including file systems, installed applications, and system settings), system restoration is a required feature, it can recover system faults and other problems.

Sometimes installing a program or driver may expose your system to a black screen. The system also allows the system files in your computer (LCTT Note: it is a system file, not a common file. For details, please refer to the note Section) and the program to the normal state of the previous work, this keeps you away from the headache and does not affect your files, photos, or other data.

The simple system backup and restoration tool Systemback allows you to easily create system backups and user configuration files. Once a problem occurs, you can simply restore it to the previous state of the system. It also has some additional features including system replication, system installation, and Live system creation.

Note: using system restoration does not restore your own files, music, emails, or other types of private files. For different users, this is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The bad message is that it will not restore the files you accidentally deleted, but you can solve this problem through a file recovery program. If your computer has not created a restore point, the system recovery will not work, so this tool will not be able to help you (restore the system ). If you try to recover the problem, you need to go to another step to troubleshoot the problem.

For Ubuntu 15.10 Wily/16.04/15.04 Vivid/14.04 Trusty/Linux Mint 14.x/ other Ubuntu derivative versions, open the terminal and copy the following commands:

Terminal command:

  1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nemh/systemback
  2. sudoapt-get update
  3. sudoapt-get install systemback

Success.
