A new generation of Office application software Office Word 2003 added some more practical features, so much the user's favorite, the author only on the comparison of the functions and friends to communicate.
First, compare Documents by side
Sometimes while you're reading a document you might want to compare it to other documents, it's hard to compare two documents in a previous version of Word, but now if you're using Word 2003, just click Compare to file name on the Window menu. You can leave open two Word documents left and right, you can even scroll two documents to identify the differences between two documents, using the following methods:
Open two documents that you want to compare, and then click Compare with file name on the Window menu, and the window is automatically tiled, displaying a side-by comparison toolbar with three buttons, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Comparison dialog box
The first is a sync scrolling button: You can control whether a document is scrolled at the same time as another document when scrolling.
The other is the Reset Window position button: When the window position changes, click it to revert to the initial state when comparing side by side.
The third is the close Compare Side by button, and clicking it exits the document comparison status.
We can also compare different versions of a document with the "Compare by Side" feature: You can compare different versions of this document by clicking the menu window → new Window command, adding a new window to the current document, and then performing a "compare by side" command and then changing the version of one of the windows.
Edit tip: This feature has the same usage in Office 2003 other subroutines.
